What We Do
Founded in 2019, Lost Meadows Mule Refuge is the only dedicated rescue for mules in the United States.
Our mission is to provide safe refuge, medical care and training to wild-born, abused, and unhandled mules across the country and to advocate for humane treatment of mules both privately and commercially.
Located near College Station, Texas, our Refuge rescues, rehabilitates, trains, rehomes, and provides sanctuary to over 100 mules each year.
There are up to 100 mules at our Refuge at any given time. Many go into our training program to become adoptable, while others will stay here in our sanctuary forever.
