is a 17 year old John mule who was transferred to LMMR from Oregon by his loving owner in 2019, after handling his feet became too difficult and his veterinarian and farrier recommended euthanasia. Maverick is a very sweet mule but is extremely fearful of having his feet worked on. We made some great progress in being able to pick up Maverick's front feet, but ultimately he has already learned to be very dangerous with his back feet and is not safe enough to be considered trainable. He enjoys life in our sanctuary and is a personal favorite of our Executive Director.
