is a 10 year old Molly mule surrendered to LMMR in 2022 after her previous owner sent her to a professional trainer and she came back with bucking problems under saddle. We had our veterinarian rule out a medical issue by taking spinal X-rays and doing a lameness test. No medical issue was found at the time, so we believed the bucking was likely caused by poor training methods. She was adopted by an approved trainer in Montana later in 2022, and while her issues did improve some under saddle, she would still buck now and then. She was returned to the Refuge in 2024. Valentine’s riding days are over, but she is otherwise a very sweet and polite girl on the ground who would make a lovely companion for another mule or horse.
